We went to Greenwich. We started out at the Planetarium and watched a film about the solar system. H found it fascinating and scary. I’ve since bought her this book (affiliate link) as she knows her planets.
Afterwards we headed into Greenwich Park and headed to the Meridian Line.
Then on to the centre where the Cutty Sark is.
No time to go there, we had to eat so found a table for eleven.
After that a brisk walk under the Thames.
And more trains to North Greenwich.
Then the cable cars over the Thames. Over and under the river in an hour or two. It was sunset by then and we had fabulous views.
The kids drove the DLR as far as Westferry, where we changed and went to Bank. Tube to Balham, train from there. Ten trains in total and a brilliant day, over 10,000 steps on the Fitbug Air too. Lovely.
Linking to Country Kids, and feeling rather sleepy.
