Phew. Two weeks off work and straight back to two days, thank you Christmas for falling this way this year – I’m tired. I think several things have come to light.

6.30am wakeups are NOT right even if they’re our only option
We need lie-in’s
Commuting while schools are still on holiday is good – you get a seat
Commuting while schools are still on holiday and getting a seat means you can read more
Commuting while schools are still on holiday and getting a seat and reading more means you can stretch your legs and don’t accidentally play footsie with the old man sat in front of you
Commuting while schools are still on holiday means that you don’t have to wait for the Norbury stop for the train to empty either.

I still don’t like getting home at 5.45 every night and having to make food/empty the dishwasher/make some bread, but to be fair, having a soup maker, dishwasher and bread maker makes it quicker.

Now if only someone could put all this stuff in my head onto the internet, I could have a little sleep now and then everything would be just right.

Schools are back on Monday though, expect my grumpiness to return forthwith.
