Last night we were treated to a neverending rendition of ‘When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney’ which was funny and brilliant – H hasn’t quite worked out that songs stop yet, especially when a part of it is repeated, so her version went on for about five minutes. Fortunately it’s funny, and even better, we now know that one line we’ve not got around to googling (‘my beard is black, there’s soot in my sack, my nose is tickly too’) as H knows the song better than us, even if she follows that line with “When Santa got stuck up the chimney, he began to shout” and repeats the whole lot again. And again. And again.

This morning we’ve had a good one, doing a load of handprints to make a Christmas Wreath, as inspired by the top picture on Dragons and Fairydust (why had I never seen this before! It’s brilliant and so simple!), as well as attaching a piece of string from one picture frame to another – and putting up our fifteen Christmas Cards we’ve received. I don’t expect many more, but if there was a sudden surge and we make the postman busy, I’ve not yet worked out where any others can go… anyway, our front room is starting to look festive, and H has played a big part in it, so she likes it too.
