H has discovered crayons and walls. This is all so much worse as we rent. Fortunately infant crayons wipe clean. Thank you crayola.

One of the other joys of renting is things breaking and having to have a bazillion people come to visit and check things out before you can get a new one. We’ve put up with our washing machine slowly breaking beyond repair – and finally someone came out last night and confirmed the bearings have gone (this was kind of obvious, as we couldn’t hear each other talk when the spin cycle was on), so a new machine will be forthcoming this week. A new second hand machine, that is. Apparently.

Which is all good, but when you’ve a toddler who loves nothing more than to roll in the mud or jump in puddles and so on, washing mounts up really fast. Fortunately we have friends with washing machines (no laundrettes near here) who are helping out. Thank god – I can’t imagine how H would behave in a laundrette right now…
