Today was a vast improvement on previous days, less clingy and a little more independent again which is what we both need. I feel like I’m not cut out to be the playful parent – I’m the one who keeps her busy running off to places and meeting people, whereas Shaun is the one who can find interesting crafty things and toys to play with indoors.
Having said that, I reckon she’ll be back at nursery on Thursday or Friday but we’ll decide nearer the time.
This afternoon we went to see H’s friend J, as he also has the pox. He doesn’t have as many spots as H and they’ve faded quite a bit, the main thing is they had fun together and I think most of all it was great for H to get out and play and do normal stuff again. They both played firemen, doctors and just playing in general and you could see how much fun they were having, while I got to chat seeing as right now I’m not getting as much conversation as I’m used to!
Tomorrow is the big one; the last exam. After that we can pick up our lives again and relax and enjoy ourselves again, oh and hope he passes the damn thing as the studying is so boring when you’re the one who isn’t studying… (and yes, I know it’s for the benefit of us as a family, it’s just all we’ve had for the last god-knows-how-long, I’ve forgotten what it’s like not to have exams twice a year for my husband). Keep everything crossed for him…. (please!)This also means I might get quieter on the blogging front…
