Pirate Ship Update

It’s looking really cool now. TOO cool. We have a flag. Actually, we’ve always had a flag, we’ve just never had a use for it. H loves the flag, and I love that we kept it, even though we weren’t there and watched the game on tv.

Even better, she feels like a proper pirate. We just need a hat…

Football Lessons

No sooner had I taught H the words “Harry Redknapp” and he’s been cruelly taken away from her, sacked by Daniel Levy late last night. How to explain that to a two year old?

While watching the England game on Monday night, John Terry appeared on the screen. I asked her if she remembered who it was, she looked and said in a slightly hopeful voice “Gareth Bale?”. I soon corrected her. I’ve not quite managed to get the point across that there’s small pockets of time when it’s acceptable to be kind to footballers you wouldn’t normally be kind to though.

Everyone still gets cheered on with “COME ON FOOTBALL” though, which I still find quite charming, H shouting out in her best South London accent.

She’s getting there….
