We’ve had a bazillion deliveries of things throughout today – quite literally, busier than the Beggars warehouse (when it’s busy). Boots have the Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature electronic breast pump at half price, so we got it (I was using a manual one, and while it’s good, it took time, and time is something we’ve not a lot of right now), we got some absolutely gorgeous Baby Gap clothes from Ciaran (they almost made me cry, they’re that cute), I made the most of the Abel and Cole “free £50 of food” offer”, the midwife popped in (H’s weight is good right now, she’s well within limits, and should be back up to her birth weight in the next day or so), Mothercare delivered us a load of things from my mother in law, which is fantastic, all in all, we’re getting to know the postmen, anyway. Tomorrow we’ll be getting one of those feeding chairs (Kiddicare.com seem to do the best deal) which will make nighttimes that bit more comfortable, and finally, I got a 3 hour nap, when Shaun got back from registering H at the docs. PHew.

Our community midwife says I can’t leave the flat for 10 days post-op, which is a bit frustrating (and next Wednesday, when the Aussie possee arrive for a spot of sightseeing and baby cooing), but I have to keep remembering it wasn’t some minor op I had (which incidentally, due to the amount of feeding I’m doing, means I can now view my scar, my stomach has almost gone now) – I burst into tears earlier as Shaun couldn’t find a jug in Sainsburys (so I can have water handy, and pour it one-handed), so the old cabin fever is well and truly here right now. Fun times…

Oh, and for the record, I expressed around 45ml of breast milk last night (which meant Shaun did the morning feed when I was too tired to even contemplate getting up). Tonight I want to get up to 60. TMI, I know, but I’ve got to record it somewhere, and one of you will probably ask.
