She’s picking up what we’re saying so quickly now – on Wednesday after a party we had a few of our close friends back for a quick cuppa, and I’d taught H earlier in the day to say “see you tomorrow” – which she wasn’t interested in saying at all. Alex left with Joseph, and said to H she’d see her at nursery tomorrow – and H repeated straight off “See you tomorrow!”.

We’re also having to use an excuse that (insert character name) is asleep whenever she wants to 1. email them (or should I say “memail”) or 2. watch them on tv. It seems to be working well so far, although she’s turned it right back on us. Whenever we ask her to wash her hands and come to the table for food, she’ll lie across the settee “night night” she’ll say, and make loud breathing sounds like she’s pretending to be asleep. Fortunately a good tickle and a distraction (usually that she should hurry up as Peppa Pig is coming to tea) seems to fix that. For now…

A freaky thing happened tonight. No, not Shaun singing but H phonetically getting her speech around the alphabet song. Eeek.
